Kilcunda Lobster Festival
The lobster festival is our annual fundraising event, held on the Kilcunda foreshore area. The 2018 event was another success despite the heat with close to 5000 people enjoying the festival throughout the course of the day. Check out the festival photos on our Gallery page.
The next festival will be held on 27th January 2019
One of the main attractions is the lobster spinning wheel. The spinning wheel generally runs between 10 am and 3 pm, with a spin occurring about every five minutes. The prize for each of the lucky ticket holders is a huge freshly cooked lobster.
The festival also has a carnival, including amusements and an animal nursery. There is a large market with many varied stalls. Food and drink is available, including lobster lunches, and music all day. This is a dog friendly event but dogs MUST be on leads and kept under control at all times and a poop pick up event!
